Our History
SportsChrome Online is the natural extension of its analog parent company
SportsChrome Inc.
We are a privately owned entity with a vast inventory of sports photography that
dates back over 40 years. Our CEO, Bob Tringali Sr. was the co-founder of Focus
on Sports back in 1975. Focus was the first photo agency in the world to devote
itself entirely to sports.
In 1983 Bob left Focus to pursue other photographic interests, but always
maintained a personal relationship with photographers who brought the art of
sports photography to where it is today. These pioneers have trained many of
the great young sports photographers working now and we are proud to say that
many are still part of the SportsChrome team.
In 1986 Bob Tringali, with son Rob Tringali Jr and several other professionals
created SportsChrome Inc. In a short period of time SportsChrome became one the
leaders of the sports photography movement.
In 1991 Will Wong came onboard to design, develop and oversee operations. Since his arrival, SportsChrome has transformed itself into a premier digital image service provider. SportsChrome can now process and provide images using its inhouse technoloy and rapid turnaround processes
In addition to professional and amateur images, SportsChrome has produced images
that clone a particular sport activity. These images are available with model
release and include action, adventure, dangerous sports, recreational/leisure,
and children and elderly people participating in all sorts of sporting
activities. Currently, we continue to utilize some of the most talented men and
women who make highly specialized pictures on a regular basis.
